Yale's Y Fashion House / Fashion Show featuring Vintage Looks from Vintanthromodern

We were approached by Yale University's new, but up-and-coming undergraduate fashion group Y Fashion House to be featured in their fashion show Synesthesia earlier this month.  It's no secret that Yale graduate students are among our best customers, but Yale undergraduates are still relative newcomers to our shop.  We were excited to meet with Y Fashion House's representatives and even more eager to help them select looks for the show, which included a variety of themes from prep to punk to 70's to more modern looks.  There were about 150 students in attendance at the show held at Silliman Dining Hall on the Yale Campus.  It was a beautiful space and a really well done show- sponsored by Bloomingdale's and KIKO Milano.

We're looking forward to watching Y Fashion House continue to grow!  Here are some of our looks featured in the show.

Vintanthromodern Pop Up Shop at Urban Outfitters New Haven

We were invited to pop up at Urban Outfitters in New Haven right outside Yale's Campus for the second time this past December. As part of their Dreamers + Doers campaign, UO often invites local makers to hold workshops and pop-up shops in the store.  We had a blast the first time when we popped up and held a modern dreamcatchers workshop - so doing it again seemed like a no-brainer!

This time around UO asked us to teach an air plant terrarium class in conjunction with it's Toys for Tots toy drive.  Anyone who brought in a new unwrapped toy was able to participate for FREE! Cool, right?  Even Santa himself showed up.

Here are some pictures from the event:
