Early 1910s Great Expectations Gown - Full-Length Edwardian Layered Lace Net Evening Dress

Materials: Rayon, silk, other

Brand / Maker: unknown

Era: 1900-1930s

Absolutely stunning, but unfortunately a bit wounded "Miss Havisham Style" garment.
Beautiful foam green bias-cut sequin netting, beaded with rhinestones. The fitted bodice fits S/M bust, sheer open back with multiple button openings. Sheer sweetheart neckline and cap sleeves, peplum overskirt, and floor-length hem. This dress has some stretch/give that will mold to your figure and drape. If you choose it could worn with an underskirt or bustle and you could even get a more authentic silhouette at the back - enhance the train / and raise the rear it will look more closely to the period of the day.

The condition is fair/poor… this is a discolored vintage Edwardian era evening gown. Think Titanic ballroom or early Downton Abbey. The overall effect is still amazing but there are condition issues: Many small pinholes in the netting, repairs needed near the hem, a few age stains under arms areas, and significant discoloration from dragging hems. The slip does not have issues. The fabric is still relatively strong and could be worn as is, but may be better for photoshoots or a study piece. Please do not hesitate to ask me for additional photos!!!

Alternatively - the gown could be shortened & converted into a fantastic Steampunk Wedding dress!
It has been professionally dry cleaned - not soaked for stain removal. It is believed that the discoloration could improve with further cleaning - at your own risk.

Do not hesitate to ask questions or request additional images.
