An absolutely feminine GEM! This beautiful 1930's blush satin...bias cut ...ankle length...evening dress has peek-a-boo shoulders, a deco buckle and loads of ruffles around the back. The detail at the shoulder has two swags of ruffles, allowing the flounces to drape down the arm in a decorative cap.
Several little snaps close at the side the side for smooth access and tailored finish. Bia cut, trumpet shape to the skirt, accentuating the figure and line at the hip. A matching sash fits into the belt loops at the waist. The entire outfit is bias cut, so it does have a bit of give. Our measurements have been taken flat.
Condition: Very good for its age. This garment is now approximately 90 years old, so it should be handled with care. Please no not expect the same durability of a modern garment. That being said, it is in excellent condition and very wearable. There are no rips or tears.
The ruffled flounces on the sleeves and neckline can be fluffed to be very bold. They have a raw pinking shear edge so the look is very organic.
The garment has three areas of color uneven-ness on the skirt and hips, with a on mark at the back at the waist. I have not tried to remove these. It hides in the reflection of the satin and could be worn easily as is. Additional professional cleaning may reduce the unevenness.
