Custom-made Glen Plaid Silk - 4 Pc Set, Skirt Suit, Cowl Top, Vested-Jacket, Blouse & Kerchief

So, the story goes... it was the Aunt. She was amazing. She lived in NYC in the 60s & 70s and worked as a designer in the fashion district. Often she was obliged to travel for work or attend industry events. With access to all the sumptuous fabrics of fashion avenue, she often hand-made her outfits for an event. We do not have her name, but several of her creations. The set includes all pieces and is not sold separately: Pleated knee-length skirt, sleeveless cowl-neck top, long tailored vest (lined with the same plum silk), and plum colored silk blouse. The outfit even comes with a matching fringe Kerchief! See the original Fashion illustration and fabric swatch.
It's rare to find such a special and unique set, with all the coordinating pieces and in beautiful condition - but this raw silk 4-piece set is a unicorn from the wild!
Beautiful vintage condition (note: the Pleated skirt is a slightly warmer beige from the top & vest - not discolored, just maybe a different dye lot). See photos.
