1960s Bonnie Cashin (Attributed), Tweed Car Coat, Swing Jacket with Leather Trim & Tie, Sleeves are 3/4 length, roomy and wide at ends. Cashin was a designer of practical, uncomplicated clothing that catered to modern, independent woman of the post-war era. This design is made of a heavy handwoven tweed wool, in black/brown and beige. The trim & belt tie of the entire body is finished with a wide 1.5" Black glove leather band (face and inside) and has gold tone/brass rectangular belt "loop fasteners" on the right & left hips. We are convinced this is a SILLS Bonnie Cashin Coat, as the tweed fabric is a match for several other Cashin garments we have seen - it may originally been offered as a suit Jacket with a matching skirt. This is a gorgeous jacket/coat 60s fashion is in great condition and still so modern today, good for 3 season wearing!
