Late 1970s silk jersey maxi dress by Leonard Fashion - Paris. This beautiful MCM Angel Wing dress is made of fine silk jersey knit featuring an asymmetric burst of geometric color in various shades of Gold, Pink, Black & Orange.
Founded in the late 50s the firm Jacques Leonard was originally a textile printing company. In 1960 Leonard Fashions introduced the first pullover print designs and employed a unique new printing process which received an international patent. Best known for brightly colored printed silk clothing, Leonard is often compared to Pucci as they started producing printed silk jerseys for their collections around the same time. Leonard-Paris made their name in fashion with the slogan: “The Leonard Dress: 150g of happiness”.
This “Angel Wing” maxi dress has a square banded neckline and extra long bell sleeves. Figure-hugging, with a back zipper, made of silk jersey, It is unlined.
