1960s Inge-Lise Koefoed Royal Copenhagen Denmark Pottery Ice Bucket
Materials: Ceramic, Pottery
Brand / Maker: Royal Copenhagen, Denmark
Era: 1960s

Inge-Lise Koefoed designed for Royal Copenhagen Denmark in the 1960s and 70s. Her primitive designs feature hand-painted geometric shapes, eye motifs, and, of course, royal blue! This ice bucket is particularly unique, not just for its quaint size, but for its woven handle and excellent condition. Display as a planter, as we have, or fill with ice as intended!

This pottery ice bucket is from the series Tenera by Inge-Lise Koefoed for Alumina of Denmark. In great vintage condition with no cracks or chips. Deep colors of blue and turquoise were very popular during that period. Measurements of the ice bucket 11cm x 12cm Alumina was started in 1863 in Copenhagen. In 1969 it merged with Royal Copenhagen. In 1958 Nils Thorsson created the series Tenera.
