• A: YES, we do! Please send representative photos of your items so that we may determine whether they are a good fit for our shop. If we are interested, we will get back to you to make an appointment to evaluate them in person.

We are not a consignment shop, most of our clothing, jewelry, accessories, furniture and home décor is sourced by us. We do not buy items from walk-ins or without an appointment.

To give you an idea of how selling items to us works, please know the following:

    1. If you are seeking close to retail price for your vintage items, it may be in your best interest to list them on sites like Ebay or Etsy or to consign them. Non-vintage consignment shops usually offer 40-50%, marking items down every 15-30 days.

    2. When determining comparable prices for the items you have, it is a good idea to do your research; keep in mind that items listed online have often been dry cleaned, steamed, mended, photographed and then listed, often with listing fees and a percentage of the final sales price paid to the website. All of these are time consuming processes and must be factored into the overall asking price of an item.

    3. While your items may hold a certain value to you (monetary or sentimental), in a retail environment the following factors influence the value we assign to them:

Cleanliness – Heavily soiled, stained or items that have been packed away for long periods of time need to be washed or dry cleaned

Condition – Items with condition issues that require our attention (mending, alterations, etc.) impact the price we can offer

Designer Labels – Items with well-known or desirable labels are preferred

Desirability – On trend items every day wearable items are preferred. We generally don’t buy career wear, bridal, furs

Era – We buy items from the 1920’s – 1990’s

Gender – We generally do not buy men’s wear; unisex items are preferred

Quality – Items that are made from higher quality, natural materials are preferred over synthetic fibers

Seasonality – Items that are acquired in the current season are given priority due to storage limitations

Size – Larger sizes are more likely to sell at a higher price point than smaller sizes

In addition, the time spend researching and processing items for sale must be taken into consideration when determining the price we are able to offer you for your items.

We review items on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please reach out via email hello@vintanthromodern.com to set up an appointment.

  • A: Antiques are at least 100 years old. Items are considered ‘vintage’ after about twenty years or more. Modern items are typically dated within the past ten years. The majority of our inventory is modern and vintage (hence our name!). Our vintage stock includes some antique and secondhand modern items, but the majority spans from 1930 to 2000. As for our modern items, you’ll find a rotating inventory of on-trend contemporary-made gifts.

  • A: Simply put: EVERYWHERE! We source our vintage every single day. From our own personal collections to online honey holes, thrifting, estate sales, and private buying appointments, we are always searching for the most unique, rare, or on-trend inventory for the shop. We pride ourselves on offering an expertly curated collection.

  • A: The short answer is no, we do not accept returns. Please read our shop policies.

  • A: This is the #1 thing we hear from customers once they walk through the door! As a curated vintage boutique, we clean every garment before it hits the racks, as well as mend, refurbish, or wash any item that needs our help. We want to maintain the integrity and longevity of our entire vintage collection. Of course, we also burn our signature soy candles every day in the shop!

  • A: Yes, but on a very limited basis.

Please note: WE DO NOT TAKE WALK-INS.

Please email us at hello@vintanthromodern.com with representative photos of items you would like us to consider for donation or consignment.

  • A: YES!  We often collaborate with stylists, artists, musicians, photographers, and other creatives to outfit bodies and spaces. If you are interested, please send us a brief description of your upcoming project and we’ll send you a copy of our contract.

  • A: We aren’t hiring at the moment but are always looking for collaborators. Have a skill we can’t live without?  Email us your resume and cover letter!
