1950s Pink Gingham 2-Piece Set (Fits S)

A picturesque pink gingham dirndl skirt set from Germany, custom made from the 1950s! This checked cotton summer frock has a square neckline, a corset-inspired bodice with many shell buttons & a nipped waist. It has a very full skirt with tight gathers to hips and back waist seams and a marvelous bustled pleat peplum style ruffle to the back waist. The skirt attaches to the bodice with buttons and loops for a no-gap fit. We reimagined this iconic set as separates for a more modern look - combine a bright shell top & belt with the full skirt and wear the bodice as a light jacket...Wear the bodice with cut-off shorts as a precocious crop top! This is an amazing collector's piece in wonderful condition - charming polka dot cotton is the intimate lining!
